Central India Christian Mission
Central India Christian Mission (CICM) was established in
December 1982 by Ajai and Indu Lall. Their dream was to establish a mission
center to reach people for Christ on the basis of the Great Commission of our
Lord Jesus Christ. The primary task of the mission is Evangelism, Church
Planting and Leadership Training. The Mission Center of CICM is located on a
20-acre campus in the Damoh District of the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
CICM’s evangelists have planted over 600 churches in central and
northern India, the northeast India/Bhutan border area, and in Nepal and
Bangladesh. More than 160,000 believers worship and serve in these churches.
Each year CICM trains at least 50 young men in the evangelist course at Central
India Biblical Academy (CIBA). The Mission also supports several full-time
Bible College students as they pursue their three-year theological degree at
Bible colleges in India. In addition more than 600 evangelists, preachers and
church leaders participate in leadership seminars held regularly at CIBA.
Outreach to children and youth is a vital part of CICM. The
Children's Ministry helps over 2,500 poor children in India and Nepal with food,
clothing, educational expenses and spiritual guidance. Indu Lall teaches over 125 children
weekly through the Children’s Food Project. After a Bible lesson each child
receives rice, lentils and vitamins. The Children’s Emergency Fund helps
children with special needs such as medical emergencies. Bal Bhavan, CICM’s children’s home,
provides a home for 50 at-risk children.
In the future the home will be expanded to care for 200 children. CICM’s Medical Training Center offers
x-ray or lab technician courses and nursing training for young people.
With the partnership of FAME, CICM has established the 35-bed
Mission hospital, the Kansa village medical clinic, a 15-bed mother and
childcare center, and a dental clinic to meet and minister to the needs of the
1.2 million people in the Damoh district. The CICM medical team regularly
organizes medical camps in area villages. In 2006 the Mission broke ground for
a hospital expansion project to enable the Mission to better serve the area’s
medical needs.
Central India Christian Mission will never end ALL hunger and
disease in India or provide better housing or clothing for ALL those in need.
The Mission will never reach EVERY soul bound in the darkness of paganism
before they enter eternity without Christ. But CICM will have an impact on the
loves of thousands in this generation and untold thousands in generation yet
unborn. We must remember the words of the Apostle Paul who urged us to
"never grow weary in going good." (Galatians 6:9)
