Beautiful Feet

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns.” - Isaiah 52.7

As we are walking with Christ to the cross, I came across this verse in Isaiah and thought about the feet of our Lord

Those feet that carried the good news throughout Judea

Those feet that walked on water

Those feet that were washed and anointed by a sinful woman

Those feet that carried the tree up Calvary’s hill

Those feet that were pierced for our transgressions

What horribly beautiful feet our Lord had.

For me, I want to worship at His feet. Bent low before our Lord is the only appropriate posture when you think about it.

As the kingdom expands, all the enemies of Christ are placed under His feet.

Satan’s head is crushed under those feet.

Death is conquered and upon the day of resurrection our Lord stands once again on those feet. Death and the grave are defeated and our Lord stands on His feet as King of kings and Lord of lords.

This is a great season to bring friends to encounter Jesus at Forum. We are completely dialed into God’s love, grace, and mercy as God’s Word takes us to the cross.

“Thanks be to God!”

I want to take a moment to say, “Great job” to Tyler Hensley and all those who poured themselves into the “D-Now” weekend last weekend. I was talking to several of the dads this week and every one of them told me how incredible and impacting their kids expressed the weekend was to them. Thanks to the students from Ozark Christian College who led the worship and Keith Parker who did the speaking for the weekend.

A Big Ask:

I also want to encourage you to ready your hearts towards a one-time giving opportunity we are asking of you as a church. On Easter, our offering is going to Christian Campus House. I don’t have time to explain this ministry on the Missouri Campus - but it’s our single greatest and longstanding ministry partnership. CCH is in the process of raising funds to build more housing and an auditorium. I’ll include some pictures next week - but the leadership of Forum desires that we be pacesetters for other churches in our state to help fund this effort. Hoping, as a church, that we “crush it” and give outrageously to this great effort.

God is on the move in our lives at Forum. I’m praying for a revival and an incredible spiritual vitality to emerge in Columbia, Missouri. I hope you are too.

Can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday as we look at a “Next Level Determination.”
