Staying Focused

As we head into the fall, we start a brand new series this Sunday called, “Chasing Daylight.”

This would be a great series to bring anyone you know who doesn’t have a relationship with God to come to. This series really challenges the dominant worldview in our culture - specifically materialism and rationalism.

It’s a study out of the book of Ecclesiastes. I know we’ll all grow greatly in God’s wisdom, in understanding God’s will, and in getting a clearer perspective for life.

As ever, this fall our children’s and youth ministries fire up into fall programming. We’ll have a "all of us under one roof" on November 6 in Jesse Hall. Plans are being made already for Christmas. New ministries for young adults are launching and the women’s ministry goes back into full ministry scheduling. We’ll have a great marriage weekend the last weekend in September.

In all of this, we’ll stay completely focused on intentionally connecting people with Jesus.

Additionally, over the next weeks, we’ll put in front of you plans connected to our next building expansion. You’ll receive a newsletter detailing what the Lord has led us to and how we will strive to be faithful with that vision.

The core reason as to why we do what we do - whether in preaching, programming, and even in our physical plant - is to connect people to Jesus.

God put a vision into the hearts of our leaders and us as a congregation and we will strive to be 100% faithful with what God has put in front of us. During the month of October, we’ll have a series of luncheons after church for everyone to ask questions connected to this project.

These are exciting times in the life of our church. God is doing amazing things and I’m so very glad that God continues to use us.

Let me encourage you to invite someone to church this weekend. I have and am praying for them even now. Looking forward to a great weekend worshiping God with you. See you Sunday.
