We take a longer look at King Herod's response to Jesus's birth and contrasting it with the worship of the Magi and obedience of Jospeh. Through examining Herod's paranoid hatred and eventual death, we see how God's purposes cannot be thwarted by human evil. There is a fundamental difference between merely knowing about God and actively participating in His kingdom work. Lastly, we see the gospel truth that while evil may strike, God's plan prevails, culminating in Satan's defeat through Christ's death and resurrection.
