There’s a difference between knowing what you’d say if someone asked, and being so familiar with what changed you that you can speak about it anywhere — at dinner, at work, in the middle of an argument. One man in the first century told the same story to a mob trying to kill him and to a king who could set him free. He told it differently each time, but it never stopped being true.
