SERVE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
Want to serve in the Early Childhood ministry, but don’t know where? Read the descriptions below to determine which age group would be the best fit.
These little ones are big on feelings and quick with the waterworks, so they need calm, steady hands to help them settle in and feel safe. This age group is great for people who are calm, nurturing, and peaceful. If you are easily frazzled or nervous, this position might become too stressful for both you and the babies. NURSERY (INFANT-2 YEAR OLD)
YOUNGER PRESCHOOL (2-4 YEARS OLD)
These toddlers are big explorers who sometimes bring big emotions—especially if they’re tired, hungry, or having a off day. If you are able to be a calm presence, but also have a silly & playful side this might be age group for you.
These kids run on high energy and love to test the boundaries! You’ll need to be the master of keeping the fun going while gently pumping the brakes—knowing just when to turn a game of tag into a pivot before it turns into full-contact wrestling. If you can balance play time & attention, this might be the place for you. OLDER PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN
(4-6 YEARS OLD)
